See more beans from British Columbia Parainema Espresso from Honduras is a polarizing variety on the cupping table, known for its herbaceousness and acidity. It has sugar cane-ish, mango verde, malic acidity, tamarind, but also cereal notes - rye berries, chicory. While it may have a stinky (vegetal) initial nose, it dissipates quickly and turns citrus and bright in the cup. Not fashionable to champion varieties that seldom win at auction but are introduced under the duress of threatened harvest volume.
Tasting Notes: mango verde, tamarind, chicory
